Thus, bringing in a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) help improve patient care, enhancing efficiency and being able to offer a range of clinical, health and care solutions for our patients. 

Our Team includes GP Partners, GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCAs), Paramedics, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Social Prescribers and Mental Health Workers.  The practice has invested heavily in these staff members to give our patients a great service.

Practice Management Team

The practice manager and her team are responsible for the overall running of the practice. Managing all aspects of the business such as designing and implementing processes and policies, staffing, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and IT. The practice manager supports all admin and clinical staff in the day-to-day running of the practice to ensure Sheepcot deliver patient services to a high standard and enhance both the patients care and overall experience.

Nurses

Our nurses hold general nursing surgeries Monday to Friday and bi-monthly Saturday mornings. They will see you for a variety of services including vaccinations, cervical smears, blood pressure checks, pill checks etc. In addition to this nurses also run specialist clinics for items such as asthma and diabetes.

Paramedic

Paramedics in general practice provide general medical care under the supervision of a GP. They conduct clinical assessments, evaluation, referrals and treatment for patients in their clinics.

Our Clinical pharmacists work as part of the team to assist with the administration of day-to-day medicine issues. Pharmacists are highly trained experts in medicine, who consult with and treat patients directly. This includes conducting medication reviews for patients with ongoing health issues and enhancing patient safety and outcomes with a focus on the individual. They also help those with long-term conditions like diabetes, COPD, and asthma. In some cases they can also prescribe medications.

They play a vital role in facilitating the communication between patients, doctors and other staff.

Social Prescribers

Social prescribers work with patients to address non-clinical needs and tackle issues that can affect health. They can help to connect patients to local services within the community that provide activities and general services with the aim to promote overall health and wellbeing.
