The surgery opens at 08:00 Monday to Friday. However, please note the phone lines do not open until 08:30.

Telephone the Practice on 01923 672451 from 08:30 – 13:00.

Please Note: Our phone lines are covered by our Out of Hours service provider Monday to Friday between 13:00 – 14:00.

If you contact us after 14:00 you will only be seen on that day if it is medically urgent.

Appointment times are 10 minutes in length. This is sufficient time to allow for 1 significant or 2 minor problems to be dealt with.   If you have a number of problems, please ask for additional time when booking your appointment. This will allow the doctors to run to time and minimise the waiting time for other patients.

Book Appointments Using our telephone booking system - Patient Partner

What is Patient Partner? this software connects to our existing telephone system and clinical database and allows patients to book, cancel and check appointments using their telephone keypad. The system is available up to 24hrs a day and is designed to improve patient access, reduce DNA's (Did not attend's) and relieve some of the pressure on our phone system at busy times.

How will it work?

When a patient calls the surgery number and they will hear a new option. If you choose to use Patient Partner you will be asked to enter your date of birth and telephone number using the telephone keypad. Your phone details must be up to date as this will be used to identify you on our clinical system and it will reject your log in if there are any differences.

When your information has been checked and accepted by the system you will then be offered options to book, cancel or check outstanding appointments. If you choose to book a new appointment the system finds a suitable appointment and offers it to you. The patient then presses a button on the keypad to confirm that this is suitable and we confirm that the appointment has been booked.

Pre-booked Appointments

You can book an appointment up to 4 weeks in advance.

Emergency Appointments

We will always try to offer same day appointments for emergencies. Patients seeking an urgent appointment should be aware that they may be assessed by our Nurses in the first instance. They advise on treatment or refer to the doctor as necessary.

Video Consultation Appointments

The Practice is using AccuRx to carry out video consultations. The Consultation is not stored or recorded within the AccuRx system. The clinical staff member is required to record observations and outcomes of the consultation directly into patients records in the same way as a face to face or telephone consultation.

Appropriate Use of Appointments

Please do not use appointments solely for repeat prescriptions or sickness certificates, unless requested to do so by a doctor.

Advice by telephone can also be requested, which can save you and the doctor a significant amount of time.

The practice is committed to putting patients at ease whenever possible. A chaperone is available for examinations at either patient or doctor request.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to offer the slot to someone else.
