NHS 111 First Service
The NHS 111 first service is a new approach for accessing urgent treatment. It is live as of the 1st December and it is to help ensure that urgent NHS services are safe and available for everyone that needs them this winter. Unless you are seriously ill or injured and need 999 emergency service, they are encouraging people to call or go online to NHS 111 for advice before leaving home, instead of arriving unannounced at an emergency department. minor injury unit or urgent care centre.

Once registered, you will be able to:
-Order your repeat medication (please allow 48hrs)
-View your results (if analysed locally)
-View medical records including immunisations (if added electronically)
Within “Health Advice” in Patient Access you can now
-Do an online consultation with GP
-Request sick/ fit notes
-Check your Symptoms and have an online consultation with a GP
Fill out a simple online form and you will get a response within 48 hrs.
All of the above means, that you will have instant access to your medical
records wherever you are, this will minimise your need to contact the Surgery.
